Rollco produces aluminium enclosure for central storage in a dust-proof environment

Aluminium frame guarding

The need for a dust-proof and clinically clean environment, combined with storage and production, places special demands on inventory and equipment. Based on these conditions, Rollco has developed a solution with aluminium frames for enclosures for warehouses where products place high demands on cleanliness.

High demands on cleanliness in warehouse

In many industries, high demands are placed on the cleanliness of premises and equipment. Additionally, some products can be very sensitive to dust. This can be particularly challenging in warehouse and production environments, which naturally generate dust, dirt, and other contaminants.

The food industry is an example where cleanliness and hygiene are crucial for product quality. The environment at food production facilities is sometimes aggressive and can contain steam, heat and dust. Airborne particles from one step in the production process can easily be transferred to subsequent steps. Efficient enclosures that isolate parts of the production, creating a clean and dust-proof environment, can play a crucial role.

From prototype to finished solution

Rollco's salesperson, tells us about a collaborative project with a customer that Rollco has had a good cooperation with since many years back.
– We were involved already in the design phase and have helped the customer with various suggestions for suitable construction. The sooner we can be involved in new projects, the better, he says.
– Please involve us already in the planning stage so that we can provide early input that eventually leads to an optimal solution. It is always easier to "fix" in advance, than afterwards.
Rollco assisted with parts to first build and test the design, before the final design was set. After that, the customer completed the final drawing. All parts were processed at Rollco's workshop in Gadstrup, Denmark.

Enclosure Enclosures

Delivered as a kit for easy transport

The enclosures are large and transporting them fully assembled would have been both expensive and energy inefficient. Instead, the components were delivered as a construction kit, allowing the structure to be assembled on-site at the customer's premises.
– The frame structure consists of various aluminium profiles, hinges, angles, fasteners, machine feet, fittings, door handles, polycarbonate sheets, aluminium sheets and many other accessories. I may have missed something, he says and laughs.
In addition to this, Rollco has provided linear rail guides for the sliding doors, so that they can be moved laterally.
We thank our colleague and our customer for sharing and helping to inspire designers for future projects.
